James Robinson Obituary

James Scott Robinson Our beloved James Scott Robinson, 41, of Austin, Texas died September 2, 2013 at his Austin home. Scott was born December 27, 1971, in Houston, Texas to James and Gloria Robinson. He attended Elsik High School in Alief, Texas and continued his education at the University of Houston. Scott was passionate about his work in client development and was the major driver in bringing new ideas and innovation to fledgling entrepreneurs throughout the Austin community. He not only had a vision for the Austin business community, but supported the TEDx Youth Event and was a major organizer in many other projects through the Austin Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed golf, attending football games, and living life to the fullest through the many friends and family he shared his life with. An avid sports fan, Scott followed the Houston Astros and Texans each season and earlier enjoyed, writing his sports blog for the Houston Chronicle. Scott is survived by his by eight year old twin children Joshua and Sophie, parents, his sister and brother-in-law, Shelley and Aaron Glick, niece and nephew Avrie & Ellis Glick, former wife Julie Robinson, aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and the Austin community. A visitation for family and friends will be at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 East FM 1431 6-8pm Thursday, September 5 and services are planned for 1pm Friday, September 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Anderson Lane in Austin with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers who will honor Scott are Aaron Glick, Karl Koehler, Richard Koehler, Matthew Lobin, Steve Roberts, Chad Hainley, Chuck Newton, Nick Raia, Michael Millard, and Jim Bledsoe. All his life Scott had a faith in his Lord and Savior that was unwavering. Scott's life seemed too short to many, but those who were touched by his infectious smile understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quality of time in which one lives. In lieu of flowers the James Scott Robinson Memorial Fund located at Wells Fargo bank will be available for donations to benefit Joshua & Sophie Robinson.

Hi Shelly, you don't know me, but Aaron holds a special place in my heart. When Cindy said something about your brother I want to let you know that you were in my thoughts and prayers. I know how it is to loose a brother. I lost my oldest brother Steve, from cancer 6 years ago when he was 55. I miss him everyday as I am sure you will Scott. My thoughts and prayers are also with his family and all of yours.
Sincerly, Nancy Lasseter Taylor

Scott...you were such a spirit to be reckoned with! So many memories of complete and utter laughter when we were kids! You will be missed!! God must have needed you more...I'm sure he is going to utilize your gregarious personality to revamp something!! To your family I leave so many hugs and faithful prayers that through Gods merciful hands he will help you find peace and understanding, but most of all continued Faith is his plans that he has for the rest of your lives! (Jeremiah 29:11). To Joshua and Sophie...never forget your fathers smile...it was infectious!
