Michael and Ii worked together at White House Ranch in the early 70's and shared a house on Costilla St. I am just reading this in 2022 and greatly saddened to learn of such a great persons passing. There is so much more work to do and Mike would be the best at it. He was a kind soul with a sense of humor and commitment. He loved to see how far he could spit cherry seeds off the front porch of the house and he loved all of the kids he worked with who had such amazing differences. He is greatly missed. I send the best to the family with reassurance that Mike was an incredible person even just out of high school!

I will always remember Michael as someone who seemed to resinated with me in a special way.. We shared many common interests but it went beyond that. I called him a kindred spirit. I will always cherish our friendship. Michael - enjoy your celestial life. See you on the other side!!!

Michael was a gift to everyone who knew him. The grace and dignity which emanated from him in his last days is an inspiration to all. Multi-talented, multi-diverse..he was just a helluva great guy! My thoughts are with you, Dina.

I will miss Michael's loving spirit and gentle grace. Although I can't make it to the service, my thoughts are with all of you. It was a pleasure to donate to Michael's newly formed "Simply Music" foundation.

I am hard-pressed to believe that this gentle giant - a tremendous gift to children and young families here in the greater Salem - Yamhill County area - has gone to walk among the angels who preceded him in leaving us to go forward in his memory and do the very best work we can and love the very most that we can...Michael, you have left us all with greater inspiration, with greater awareness of how to live our lives so that everyone who knows or ever touches us will never forget...I cherish the times that I worked with you as you built Yamhill Head Start into the model of pure response to those who were touched by that program. To have been a part of your legacy is a gift I will never forget, and a challenge to remember every day to tell someone new that I love them...Blessings Michael -

So saddened by today's notice of Michael's death. Sending my love to Dina, with happy memories, of sharing her early days with Michael, when we were all younger, writers of poetry, and friends of the heart.
