Breann Riley Obituary

Breann Kathryn "Bree" Riley, 21, of St. Augustine, left this Earth much too soon on Dec. 15, 2017. Breann was born in California to Gus and Maria Riley. Although born premature, she overcame all obstacles to be a bright light in her community and school. Graduating from Pedro Menendez High School class of 2015, Breannn led a full and active life that involved bowling, boating, beach trips, dancing, Anastasia Catholic Youth Group (Say Amen), Young Life, mission trips, children's ministry, and church league softball.
Bree looked up to and adored her big brother, James. She loved animals, especially her dogs, Brandy and Stitch. Breann had a smile that would light up a room. She was beautiful inside and out, a gentle soul, and intelligent beyond her years. She will always be remembered by her family as a hero and princess warrior who sacrificed her life to save her sons. Her memory will live on through her children, Alex and Brad, and all the hearts and souls she touched.

Breann is survived by her beloved sons Alex and Brad; parents, Gus and Maria Riley; brother, James Riley of St. Augustine; grandmother, "Nanny" Catherine Mango of New York; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends who loved her dearly.

A funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. A visitation and vigil service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bree's memory can be made to www.gofundme.com\breannriley to take care of her sons' needs.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

My heart goes out to Maria and Gus and James Riley.

Bree you were an angel from the moment you entered this world. You worked hard throughout your school years and graduated! You became a beautiful young woman who had 2 beautiful baby boys. You were taken too early . You now have your heavenly wings. You will be missed by many.
