August Kubart Obituary
"Augie" worked with the Grumman Corporation for 37 ½ years. His highlighted involvements pertained to the Lunar Module, the F-14 Tomcat and E-2C Hawkeye programs at locations in Bethpage, Calverton, Fort Worth, Isfahan, Iran and the opening of the St. Augustine facility, where he eventually retired in 1994. His biggest achievements and pleasures in life were raising his four children and watching them grow to be wonderful adults. Augie's time was spent enjoying every day with loved ones, traveling, playing golf and playing cards with his buddies.
Through this journey in life, his best friend and loving wife of over 53 years, Arlene, will always remain in his heart and soul until they meet again. Augie was a devoted husband, a caring father and grandfather who will be missed so very much.
He is survived by sons Daniel J. Kubart and his wife Sharon of West Milford, N.J., William K. Kubart and his wife Laura of St. Augustine, Kenneth J. Kubart and his wife Karen of St. Augustine, and daughter Allison L. Barlow and her husband Leonard of St. Augustine. His grandchildren, Nicole, Taylor, Kayla, Alexis, Kenlie, Austin, Kolten, Nicholas, Brooke, Anna and Alivia will greatly miss their "Pop Pop" so very much.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, the Rev. Fr. Seamus O'Flynn, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Augie's memory be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, The Bailey Center, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of the arrangements.

Augie was a gentle soul with an easy smile. I didn't see Augie often, but I always enjoyed his visits to my office.
