Very saddened to hear of Wayne's passing. He was the coach and I, the team manager, for quite a few years with our kids' soccer teams. Thursday night pizza after swimming lessons and so many more good memories. Wayne was a local treasure here on the coast and involved in so many positive things. Our sincere condolences to René and his entire family.

Wayne was loved by all. His enthusiasm and willingness to help whenever needed were unlmited. He was the first winner of our Heart of Hospitality Award for good reason. Our deepest condolences go out to his family. You're in our prayers.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 CEV
The LORD'S Coming
With a loud command and with the shout of the chief angel and a blast of God's trumpet,
the Lord will return from Heaven.
Then those who had faith in Christ before they died will be raised to life.
GOD Bless you Wayne!

Wayne and I met on the San Mateo County Coast. He was the manager of the Half Moon Bay Brewery in Princeton California, I was the Sheriff's Lieutenant in charge of the Coastside. We developed a strong bond. We complimented each other and I was so impressed by his professionalism and true care for the community. Thank you Wayne for being a friend. We will meet again. Have a cold one waiting for me and we will share some laughs.

Wayne was a good friend and great human being. He was admired by those who knew him and his great personality. We, in Half Moon Bay, CA will miss his involvement and contributions in our community. His many "guy" friends (aka: DICS) on the coast that would ride bikes with him have a deep whole in our hearts from his passing. He will be greatly missed.

I was so saddened to learn of Wayne's passing. My memories of Wayne are mostly from high school and our church youth group - and more recently from reconnecting on Facebook. He always seemed to be smiling and have a positive outlook. And he always had time for you. I'm sure his absence will be felt by a great many beyond the immediate family.

Death is Nothing at All

I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you,
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.

Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes that we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort,
Without a ghost of a shadow upon it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.

What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
Somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.

All is well.
