Bernard Koesterer Obituary

Koesterer, Bernard J. 'Hank' 90, of Belleville, Illinois formerly of East St. Louis, Illinois, born February 26, 1918 in Freeburg, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Four Fountains Nursing Home, Belleville, Illinois. Mr. Koesterer was a veteran of United States Army serving during W.W. II. He worked as a mechanic at many different shops and was associated with District 9 I.A.M, and enjoyed horses. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret 'Peggy' Koesterer, nee Walsh, his parents, Albert J. and Katherine, nee Klein, Koesterer, a brother, Lawrence Koesterer, and a sister, Cleo Boze. Surviving are his son, Kevin B. (Kathy) Koesterer of Collinsville, Illinois, a daughter, Jane Koehler of Shrewsbury, Missouri, four grandchildren, Jay Ambry, Katherine Koehler, Amy Koehler, and Devin Koehler, four brothers, Albert (Julie) Koesterer of Saint Louis, Missouri, Ralph (Lucille) Koesterer, of Saint Louis, Missouri, Rev. Fr. David Koesterer of St. Louis, Missouri, and Herman (Nancy) Koesterer of Belleville, Illinois, a sister Esther Webb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, a sister-in-law, Maureen Koesterer, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials are appreciated to The American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Expression of sympathy my be made at www.mem.comServices: Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M., Thursday, August 28, 2008 at VALHALLA HOLTEN Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 29, 2008 at Valhalla Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois with Rev. Fr. David Koesterer officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Freeburg.
