Brooks Vernon Bamburg, 72, of Ocean Springs, MS was called away to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in his home. Mr. Bamburg was born to the late Elby and Lillian (Baylis) Bamburg on December 3, 1945 in Monroe, LA. As a proud member of the United States Army, he served as a Dog Handler, and took part in deployment to Vietnam. Mr. Bamburg earned his education from West Monroe High School in West Monroe, LA. He later went on to graduate from the University of Louisiana in Monroe with his B.S. in Math, and B.S. in Pharmacy. These are achievements he would carry on throughout life as an esteemed Owner and Pharmacist of Ocean Springs Discount Pharmacy.
Mr. Bamburg was preceded in death by his parents, Elby and Lillian Bamburg; and brother-in-law and best-friend, Kenneth "Butch" Hill Jr.
Left to mourn his absence, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cynthia Hill Bamburg; children, Valerie (Judge Daniel III) Guice, Marshall (Jessica) Bamburg, and Christina Bamburg Daniel M.D.; grandchildren, Tyler Bamburg, Chloe Bamburg, Grayson Daniel, and Gavin Daniel; and brothers-in-law, William "Billy" (Linda) Hill, Chester (Millie) Hill, and Wetzal (Melanie) Hill. Services will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, MS at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Interment will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Bosco Cemetery of Bosco Baptist Church, Bosco, LA.
