I was very saddened to hear about your loss from my Aunt Ilene. Although I lost contact with "Uncle Mark" when I was 11 or 12 years old(more than 25 years ago), I've never forgotten what a fun, wonderful, funny and "cool" uncle he was to me and my brother, David. He's always stood out in my mind as someone special from my childhood (I have great memories of driving in the Corvette, going to Hershey Park, etc.).

To all the Blachers,
The Ambrusko girls know the sadness you feel these days, and although we are many miles apart, we share them with you. I always will remember Mark as "the handsomest boy in Buffalo", and the Blachers as the dearest family we ever knew. I know you guys will stick together and help each other get through this. Your Mom and Dad will help you, I'm sure.

Dear Mrs. Blacher and Family

I worked with Mark at USXP and I just loved him. He was the smartest man I ever meet and he kept me going as it was difficult to work there. I admired him and I felt terrible when I heard the news....this world will never be the same without him. Carolyn

Mark,
I don't know what to say. Everytime i talk to my dad he tells me how you always check up on my like another father and tell him they need to "get me the H*LL out of Afghanistan". I wish I could be there to pay my respects to you. You'll always be remembered as an amazing person, and a man I look up to, who taught me about strength and courage. I may be a soldier, but I'll never forget the Marine who helped me believe in myself.
I salute you CPT. Blacher. I consider you one of my brothers, my mentor, a fallen comrade, May you Rest in Peace. "HOORAH", Semper Fi, and all that other crazy stuff you Marines say.

Love Always and I'll see you again someday,
