Bessie Vandermeyden Obituary

Bessie Vandermeyden, 90, died, May 30, 2007. She was born in West Milford, N.J., and moved to Fort Pierce 30 years ago from Pequannock, N.J. Before retirement, she was a seamstress for a company in Pequannock. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. Survivors include her daughter, Lois Duncan of Fort Pierce; son, James R. Vandermeyden of Wayne, N.J.; sister, Dorothy Morse of Wanaque, N.J.; brother, Robert Cahill, of Wayne N.J.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2003. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. June 4 at Yates Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Pierce. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Craig Bridgers officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
