William A. "Bill" Benulis Sr.

William A. "Bill" Benulis Sr., 82, died May 30, 2011, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Fort Pierce since 1992, coming from New Jersey. In the 1950s, he was a cartoonist for Marvel Comics. Before retiring, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service in New Jersey and New York for 34 years. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Loretta A. Benulis of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Laure Ann Goss of Port St. Lucie; sons, William A. Benulis, Jr. of Jensen Beach and Stephen Joseph Benulis of Oldsmar; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, William Anthony Benulis. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. Services: Services will be private.
