Michelle Lamphere Obituary
Michelle was born in Lansdale, Pa., on Jan. 6, 1969, the daughter of Douglas and Lorraine "Susie" Kretschmar Knipe. Michelle was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1986 and in early years was employed by The Daily Review in Towanda. On June 2, 1990 she married Keith J. Lamphere in Athens, Pa. Michelle formerly served as a school bus driver for several area operators over the years. She was a member of the LeRoy Heritage Museum and enjoyed spending time with her family, the outdoors, gardening, horses and knitting.
Surviving are her husband Keith; daughters Danielle S. Nagle and husband David of Binghamton, N.Y., Deanna M. Lamphere of Towanda, Sarah L. Lamphere of Monroeton; son Keith Jack Lamphere of Monroeton; brother Doug Lantz and his son, Alex of Monroeton; and an aunt and uncle Karen and Louie Bump of Monroeton.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The family suggests that contributions be directed to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714 or to the LeRoy Heritage Museum, 257 Mill St., LeRoy, PA 17724 in Michelle's memory. The Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home of Towanda, Pa., is assisting Michelle's Family with arrangements. Memories and condolences may be expressed by visiting www.bowenfuneralhomes.com.

Danielle, Sarah, and the entire Lamphere family-I am so sorry to just hear of the loss of your mom. She was your number one cheerleader, and I'm certainly going to miss seeing her at your brothers swim meets. I pray for your strength in the months to come. She will be missed.

Keith and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Michelle's passing. I have been praying for a recovery. Michelle was one of my all time favorite students, her spirit and courage have been an inspiration for anyone dealing with this awful disease. I so enjoyed visiting with Michelle whenever I saw her out and about.

When we first moved to the hill we didn't know everyone (maybe just a few), we have got to know most of them in the past 1 1/2 years. Unfortunately Michelle is one we have not had the pleasure of talking with but we did get to see her smiling face (with a wave) as we drove by or even rode horse by their place!
