You don't know me but I was touched by your mother several years ago when I had the opportunity to treat Marcia as an out-patient at the physical medicine out-pt. clinic in Essex. Your mother was in a lot of pain but she was determined to be well and to keep going. Many, many people have come in and out of my life in the 25 years I have been an occupational therapist. There are only a handful of patients that impress me so that I remember them always. Special people that touch my life and Marcia was that type of person. She taught me how to make a Cherry pie and even bought me cans of pitted sour cherries so I could make my own. Since then I have made a cherry pie to celebrate Washington's birthday every year, just as I did a few days ago. Your mother was on my mind then and will be as long as can make cherry pies. May you find comfort in knowing your mother touched many lives in so many small but wonderful ways.

To the Gesick family, each of you should be so proud. You were so wonderful to your mom. Marica was blessed to have such caring sons and daughter in laws in her life. She was very proud of her grandchildren and the gallery of pictures on display, made her shine. Together you gave her a wonderful life. God Bless all of you.
