John Krysiuk Obituary

John E. Krysiuk, Sr.

John E. Krysiuk, Sr., age 92, died peacefully at the Stamford Hospital on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He was the husband of the late Rose Spinola Krysiuk. John was born in Georgetown, CT on August 31, 1920, the son of the late John E. Krysiuk and Katherine Lewisky Krysiuk Gunner. He worked for many years as a mason with Deering Construction and as owner of Krysiuk Brothers. John attended local schools and was a proud veteran of WWII, having served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Pastime Club, the Strawberry Hill Athletic Assoc. and in his younger years played baseball and football for various local teams.
John is survived by his children Katherine Fitzgerald and her husband David of TN, Carol Kaplan and her husband Howard of Norwalk, John Krysiuk, Jr. and his wife Lori, Frank Krysiuk and his wife Judy all of Norwalk, Mark Krysiuk and his wife Ann of TN, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. John was also predeceased by his brother Frank Krysiuk and sisters, Josephine Shimko and Ann Gray.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at on Saturday, June 1, 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Friends will meet directly at church and there are no visiting hours.
