Alvaro Salinas Obituary
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Santos Salinas.
Mr. Salinas is survived by his wife, Maria Esther Salinas; three children, Alvaro Salinas Jr., Sandra (Jose) Saldana, Sylvia Salinas; six grandchildren, Jose Saldana Jr., Joanna Hernandez, Amanda Hernandez, Alicia Hernandez, Alexandra Salinas, Matias Salinas; two siblings, Herminia Rodriguez and Ercilia Garza.
Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.

Sandra,Sylvia and Alvaro Jr. My condolences to you and your family. I was your Kindergarten teacher at Austin Elementary School many years ago. Sandy or Sylvia was a nurse and she attended my husband when he was undergoing cancer treatments several years ago. He was very happy with her care. Thank you for the kindness you showed him then. I remember you often and your Mother as she was always there for whatever activities we had at school. May God give you the strength you need mow as you are going through these difficult times. I am sorry that we can’t attend amy of the services for your father, but rest assure you all are in our prayers.

My deepest sympathies to the Salinas family. Alvaro is at peace now. He was taken much to early. He is home with God. He will be watching over you everyday smiling down upon you guiding you loving you and missing you. Talk to him he will listen. He is at peace for eternity. Be strong. Farewell My friend untill we meet again.
