George Edward Lobsinger

George Edward Lobsinger, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the age of 96. George is survived by his children, Marlene (Bruce) Clare, Yvonne (Steve) Jackson, Dave Lobsinger, Gary (Esther) Lobsinger and son-in-law Jack Russell. George was born in Tower, Michigan on April 29, 1924 to Peter and Ethel Lobsinger. He grew up in Gaylord, Michigan where he was an auto-mechanic. He married Katherine Mankowski on June 23, 1945 and moved to Mt. Pleasant where they raised their family. Together they had five children and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. George was a friendly man who always had a smile on his face and a story to share. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors - camping, gardening, hunting and fishing. He often could be found tinkering with things and searching for the perfect mattress. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish. He loved spending time with his family- especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him, including the customer service representatives in the area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, and his daughter, Carol. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 and burial will take place immediately following mass at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A luncheon will take place after the burial at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. The family would like to thank Fountain of Love for their incredible care, help and support.
