Left to cherish his memories are his 5 daughters: Carolyn Dorsett, Sharon Gilbert Williams, Margaret Jean Pierre, Vernice & Christine Gilbert; 2 sons: Rueben Gilbert & Vicky Jean Pierre of Miami, Florida; 4 brothers: Joseph Jean Pierre, Theones, Manes & Alexis Jean Pierre; 2 sisters: Corene & Claricipian Jean Pierre; 10 grand daughters: Sherika Dorsett, Shikena & Keithra Forbes, Calva Spence, Valentina, Rebecca, Angel Gilbert, Tyrese Forbes, Leila Smith & De'Andre Gilbert; 15 grandsons: Daugarino Forbes, Lavardo Dorsett, Carson & Elton Strachan, Kirkland & Clarence Woodside, Ricardo, Rueben Jr., Rabbit, Ruben & Rudy Gilbert, Reggio Knowles, Tario Brown, John Sands & Francis Hunt; 7 great grand children: Shogun Neymour Anthony Saunders Jr., Kimya Gilbert, Kiarra Scott, Dion Gibson Jr., Clarence Woodside Jr., & Clarikena Woodside; other relatives & close friends: Merlene Gilbert, the mother of his children, Janet Hanna, Sally Hutchinson, Margaret Collins, Tawesha Fernander, Shanell Ambrister & family,Prince Gilbert & family, Pennerman family, Merzilee Guerner, Martial Metellus, Judithe Metillus, Madam Decembiere, Janvier (Mandee) & many others too numerous to mention.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
