Peggy and my sister, Aleta, we´re close friends in college. I was much younger, the little sister. Peggy was beautiful with her gorgeous red hair. I still see her at Billy Mitchell´s pool party. She sat at the edge of the pool in a striking green bathing suit. She was the star of the party. As the Young girl that I was, just an observer, she fascinated me. She was the most interesting, beautiful, and intriguing of Aleta´s friends. I watched and listened to her. AND I´ll never forget her. I´m so sorry that she´s gone. Aleta moved to Germany and lost touch with so many of her friends from that time but I have sent this to her and I know she will mourn Peggy, her lost friend.

My condolences on the death of Peggy. I was her classmate at St. Anne on Highland. I remember her twin, Bobby, and siblings Richard and Puddin. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have great and fond memories of those innocent days at St. Anne. I am pastor of St. Louis Church in Memphis. I will offer a Mass for Peggy and one for the family. If I can be of any help please call on me at any time.

Today I honor Peggy, a great friend, fun traveling companion and amazingly talented artist. With her blaze of red hair and X-Acto knife in hand, she created some of the best published work at D.H. Holmes. No one could draw the anatomy like Peggy, and this was so important in the grand days of fashion illustration. I will cherish my time and memories with her forever. Twink Halasz

My sympathy to Peggy's friends and family. It's been a very long time since I last saw Peggy but I was just thinking about her this past Sunday as I was admiring some of her art that we have hanging in our home.
