Robert “Bobby” Bradford Ballew, age 68, of Jonesboro, Arkansas went to meet the
Lord on Sunday, March 1 , 2026.
Visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas on Thursday, March
5 from 5 to 7pm. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 6 , at Memorial Park
Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee at 1:30 pm. Jay Jacobs of Central Baptist Church will be
officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Emerson Funeral Home.
Bobby was born at the US Naval Hospital in Memphis, TN on February 14, 1958.
Bobby graduated with honors from East High School in Memphis in 1977. Bobby later
obtained an Associate of Engineering Technology degree from State Technical
Institute at Memphis, an Associate Engineering Technician in Electrical Engineering
Technology grade from NICET, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State
University in Jonesboro. Bobby received numerous awards for academic excellence
throughout his scholastic career.
Bobby was married to Marilyn on March 25 , 1982. They were married for almost 44
years.
Bobby worked as an engineer in several industrial fields. Bobby retired in 2017 while
working in Kentucky as military contractor disassembling various munitions. He
enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, motorcycle riding, traveling with Marilyn, and was
actively involved with his local church until he was no longer able to participate due
to medical complications.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Marilyn Crain Ballew, son Rob Ballew and wife Melissa,
daughter Stephanie Ballew Dunigan, six grandchildren: Robbie Ballew, Gracie Ballew,
Sydney Dunigan, Jacob Ballew, Gavin Dunigan, and Nathan Ballew, brother Jack
Ballew and wife Marti, sister Joyce Buchanan, and other family and friends.
Bobby is preceded in death by his mother Sara Ballew, father John Ballew,
stepmother Connie Ballew, and sister Ginger Mills.
Marilyn and the family would like to thank all family, friends, and medical
professionals who have prayed for, encouraged, and assisted Bobby and Marilyn
through many years life with Parkinson’s. Bobby is now free from all suffering and has
finished the race, achieving the prize set before him.
