Robert Peddicord Obituary
GREEN SPRINGS: Robert Howard Peddicord, 92, of Green Springs, OH passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Elmwood Assisted Living at The Shawhan in Tiffin, OH. He was born September 26, 1922 in Oak Park, IL, the son of Lloyd E. and Lura M. (Young) Peddicord. He was a 1940 Graduate of Green Springs High School.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from October 5, 1942 until October 4, 1945 and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Honorable Discharge Button and Honorable Service Button.
Bob married Dawn Lowe on June 21, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA and she preceded him in death on June 7, 2005. He worked in the electrical construction trade with the IBEW Local #8 Toledo and retired after forty-one years of service. He was a member of the Green Springs American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, hunting pheasants and rabbits. He loved the outdoors, cutting wood and geography. He was also an avid Detroit Tigers Fan.
Bob is survived by his children, Ned (Cheri) Peddicord, Willard, OH and Nan (Jerry) Purvis, Tiffin, OH; grandchildren, Alisa Weiss and Lori Wiers both of Willard and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dawn; siblings, Lloyd Peddicord, Jr., and Virginia Hughes.
Memorials: Wyandot County Humane Society, Seneca County Humane Society or Donor's Choice.

To Bob's Family,
Sending our deepest sympathy at this time ! I thought I had already signed the guest book, but I did not see our message ! So glad Mom and Bob got to talk about old times when they were in the class of 1940, Green Springs !
