Tonya Renee McCandless

Tonya Renee McCandless, 40, of Elizabethtown, passed away at 8:36 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

Tonya was born March 7, 1973, in Bowling Green.

Tonya was a housewife and attended Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green. Tonya was a won-derful wife, mother, daughter and sister and she never met a stranger. She was a graduate of University of Kentucky with a degree in accounting and Embry-Riddle University with a master's degree in aeronautical science. She loved the UK Wildcats and enjoyed listening to Christian music. She had a special dog, Gracie, whom she dearly loved. She loved to travel, especially to Florida, and all over the U.S. and many foreign countries.

Tonya is survived by her husband, Kerry P. McCandless of Elizabethtown; one son, H. Bryson Carr of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Jesslyn McCandless of Elizabethtown; her mother and stepfather, Sarah and Bobby White of Richardsville; her father and stepmother, Mark and Linda Lambert of Allen County; her paternal grandmother, Frankie Lambert of Allen County; one brother, Jason Lambert (Kim) of Bowling Green; four stepbrothers, Marty White (Debbie) of White House, Tenn., Timmy White of Bowling Green and Kevin Ransom and Kelly Ran-som (Spring), all of Allen County; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. CST Thursday, March 6, at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel in Bowling Green. Burial follows in Beech Grove General Baptist Church Cemetery in Allen County.

Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. CST Wednesday and continues at 9 a.m. CST Thursday at the funeral home.
