Brianna Taylor Obituary
She was a native of Hardin County, a born-again Christian and a member of New Horizon Baptist Fellowship.
She was a 2014 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, where she was Miss Freshman and Miss Sophomore; 2013-'14 Football Homecoming Court, 2013 National Council of Youth Leadership and class secretary for 2011-'12.
She played varsity softball for seven years, where she was All-District 2014, All-Area tournament 2010 and 2013. She played travel ball with Heartland Rage, which later became Louisville TPX.
She was a co-op student for Dr. Darnell Chiropractic.
She was an incoming freshman at Western Kentucky University with dreams of becoming a speech pathologist.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ruby Jewell Taylor and Rachel Willoughby; her grandfather, B.L. Taylor; and two uncles, John Dennis Taylor and Roger Brent Willoughby.
Survivors include her parents, David and Tonya Willoughby Taylor; a brother, Brice Taylor of Elizabethtown; her grandparents, Mac and Louise Willoughby of Elizabethtown; three uncles, Dean (Karen) Taylor, Curtis (Nancy) Willoughby and Virgil (Cindy) Willoughby; and her cousins and their families, Chad and Krissy Lovall, Deana and Ryan Wheeler, Dana Taylor, Zeb and Dana Willoughby, Zak and Mandy Willoughby, Roger and Beth Willoughby, Matt and Sarah Durham, Emily Willoughby, Mandy Willoughby, John Taylor, Kelly Taylor, Bill and Alisa Winslow, Mike and Cassie Levley and Xiaoyun, Elli, Enya, Nini and Ximi Willoughby; and her special grandparents, Jerry and Judy Caswell.
The funeral is at noon Thursday at Valley Creek Baptist Church in Hardin County with Brother Scott Kerr officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Elizabethtown High School softball program.

We have lost our son, and I do understand the pain.
Your children were beautiful and appeared to be very close. Please keep the wonderful memories alive and close to your heart.
Your children's life has affected people all over the world. How much pain can one family take?
Please know Brine and Brianna will be in our prayer's. And no one day you will be reunited with them.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Father God,
I lift up the parents of Briana and David "Brice" to you. I have just learned of these parents losing their children within weeks of each other and my heart just aches for them. My sister, Tammy lives in Radcliff and asked me to put their parents on our prayer list at church - in which I will do. As a mother I can't fathom the pain they are going through. The parents were no doubt committed Christian parents to their children for both of them to be born again. Oh Lord, I thank you for that. I know that Brianna and Brice are now in your presence in Heaven where there are no tears, no pain. Lord I ask that you would wrap your arms around their parents. We can't comprehend why these things happen Lord which makes them even that much harder to understand but we know your promises Father. I pray that you will give their parents the peace that only you can give Lord. Give them strength and surround them with people who can also help them cope during this most difficult time. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I played ball with her and met her once or twice, she was an amazing beautiful person and an amazing ball player. My team attended her funeral in our uniforms. I'm incredibly sorry for your loss. She will be greatly missed.

Brianna and Bridget used to play basketball, swim in the pool and climb the chestnut tree in our yard when they were little. Brianna's late grandfather, BL Taylor, used to live across the street. its so sad to here of someone passing! but to loose someone so young is the sadest news a mother or a father can ever here there is realy no words that can heal the pain but just know that god is in controll and he will wrap his arms around the both of you and give you peace and comfort. i didnt know her but as i see her obituary it makes me so sad i just pray god gives you all peace!
