Uncle Hank,
I've always been blessed to have the best uncle there ever was. I looked forward to seeing u once or twice a year when u came to Texas. I know u had several nieces but u always made me feel that I was your favorite. I'm sure u just made everyone feel that way. I know we didn't see each other much bc we lived 1500 miles apart, but each time we did, it was just as pleasant & we picked up where we left off last time. At a time you wanted to retire & travel, I had the pleasure of taking & raising your dog Chelsea for the last 6 yrs of her life. She was special to me bc she was a part of you. As a child I remember quite well you saying Liiisssssaaaaa!!!!! Two things that stick out in my mind is in January 2012, u called me. You said there wasn't any reason but to hear my voice. That was touching & very special. You also said you loved me. I was thinking Wow! What made u think of me on that given day? It just touched my heart to know that I was loved & thought of from my favorite uncle 1500 miles away. Another thing was when I visited you in the hospital, just 2 short weeks before your passing. As u lie in the hospital bed weak & ill, you gathered us all together, hand in hand, & lead your family in prayer. That was very touching. U spoke of Jesus dying on the cross & I could see you living his pain. As a nurse for 15 years, that's the first time that I've ever seen a patient lead their family in prayer. That showed me the Godly man that you were & that moment in time was priceless. I miss you already. I know u are in heaven & flying high with the Angels. Until we meet again. Love Your Niece, Lisa Beard Hall

My daughter and son couldn't wait to get on the bus each morning and see Mr. Hank behind the wheel. He was cheerful & kind and always managed a moment say hi or talk a bit, and still be on schedule to school. We were blessed to know you Hank, and you will be missed.

Uncle Hank,
You were one of the good guys, one of the few golden men God placed on this earth to make it a better place. And that you did. I didn't get to know you for long but I could tell what kind of man you were from the few times I was able to meet you and talk with you. God blesses our lives with so few golden people that we should make every effort to visit with them as often as possible. You might not get another chance. My father was one of those golden men also, he left this world two months ago. Look him up in Heaven Uncle Hank, he might be hanging out with all those rowdy Cajuns up there. Might be having a crawfish boil when you visit them. Thank you God for men like my father and Hank, they show us all how you should live your life as godly men. Your legacy will live on through the men and women you both touched.

You were one of the good guys. One of the few golden men God placed on this earth to make it a better place. And that you did. I didn't know you for long, but I cherish the time I had to know you. God blesses our lives with so few golden people that we should take every opportunity to visit with them as often as possible. My Father was another of those few golden men. He left this world two months ago. Look him up when you get up there. He might be hanging out with all those roudy Cajuns in heaven. Thank you God for men like my father and Hank. They show the younger people how a life should be lived.

Hank was the first face my children saw when they got on the bus to go to Kindergarten at Andersonville. He was so warm, friendly and caring and handled their anxiety so well and took a personal interest in their well-being. My son is now in 5th grade and my daughter is in 3rd. Hank new all of us parents by name and always had a kind word to say. My kids and I were so saddened to hear this news. I hope he knew how liked and appreciated he was....most certainly by us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dad...You have always been and always will be my hero. I hate to see you go, and going to miss hearing "Hello Craig-a-doo", but very happy knowing where it is you are residing. I have always loved your compassion and even temperence, but mostly just for being Dad. I love you.

Uncle Hank,
I can always remember waiting excitedly for you to come and visit at Grandma's. We were all so happy to see you, but none as happy as she was. What a glorious reunion ya'll must have had. I will always remember your smile, how your eyes would light up. You always had a kind word for everyone. You will be greatly missed by all of us. I love you very much and I can't wait to see you again, when I get to Heaven myself someday. Until then, I will treasure my memories and carry love for you in my heart, always. Give Grandma & Amber a big hug & kiss from me.
Love,
Your Niece ~ Connie Sue
