Manfred MORGENSTERN Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Manfred Hans Gunther Morgenstern at the age of 87 in Surrey British Columbia, on January 4, 2014. Manfred was born June 22, 1926 in Schweidnitz Germany. Germany is where he met the love of his life, Frieda and began, what would be his life's greatest accomplishment, a Family. Upon marrying Frieda in 1949 he would then go on to have his first Child with her, Walter (Gail). After Walter was born he made a big decision and immigrated to Canada in 1951 and in 1952 Frieda and Walter would follow. He then had his second child with Frieda, Sonja (Pat) in Quebec. With his Family complete they traveled across Canada to settle in British Columbia in 1965 where he watched his family grow. He looked on as his grandchildren Lisa (John), Sandy (Craig), Samantha (Sean) and Karl (Lindsay) grew. He was so proud to see the birth of his great grandchildren Emily, Alivia, Nathan, Jackson, Lucas, Carter and Benjamin . Manfred was a loving Husband, devoted Father and Doting Opa but most of all a Hero to all. He will be greatly missed and know that "We love you more".
