Celess Young

Celess Young COLUMBIA - Service for Mr. Celess Young, will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Mr. Young will be placed in the church one hour prior for public viewing. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at J.P. Holley Funeral Home- Columbia Chapel. A wake service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Celess Young's precious memories will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Ruby O'Neal Young; beloved daughters, Christine (Joseph) Robinson, Maxine Young, Tynetta Young; devoted son, Christopher Young; two godsons, Marc S. Williams and Darryl Profit. He is also survived by seven sisters, Jessie Turner, Ernestine O'Neal, Virginia Young Brown, Eula Hampton, Arizona P. Felder, Arvella P. Belton, and Mary Peters; two brothers, David Peters and Morris Peters.His many grandchildren and great-grandchildren have been fortunate to have their "Granddaddy and Great-Granddaddy" provide them with enough memories, wisdom and examples for them to lead very successful lives and careers. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
