West Columbia, South Carolina - Martin Shaughnessy Velez, 64, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 peacefully at his home.
Born and raised in Utuado, Puerto Rico , the son of Martin Shaughnessy and Aracelia Velez (Cruz), he moved to New York and then made a permanent settlement in South Carolina.
He leaves his son, Martin E. Velez; his daughters, Jeanna L. Velez, Jessica B. Burkett (Ethan) and Cayley D. Velez; and many grandchildren and close friends.
