Robert Churchill Obituary

Robert B. Churchill of South Easton MA, born March 29, 1954, passed on Saturday Jan 09, 2021 in Hingham MA. Rob/Bob/Turk touched many lives with his generosity, compassion, music and humor and if you were lucky enough to cross paths with him, you would never forget. He was usually the smartest one in the room and always the funniest. He was a hard worker that thrived in opportunity and valued his roots. Son of Thomas B and Catherine P Churchill, Rob is survived by his siblings, Tom and his wife Carolyn, Carol, Sara and her husband Jim, Matt and his wife Ana, Margaret and Jane and a large number of extended family and friends that mourn his loss. I was in the same class as turk. I admired his strong stance he took against MHS and the length of hair for boys. I think he was responsible for changing the policy. He turned me on to patchouli oil and I still wear it to this day. I always liked him and so sorry to hear of his passing

Bob was always a friend to all. We were friends through other friends but he always treated everyone like they were best friends. Always had the shiny attitude no matter the situation. I will miss him very much.

Turk was a wonderful person, one of a kind, caring, compassionate, funny, smart...the kind of friend you could not see for a long time and then pick up like not a day had gone by. He loved having everyone together, loved playing tricks on people, loved talking about the good old days in High School, loved playing music....and his dry sense of humor made me laugh every time I saw him. Our reunions will never be the same, there will always be a missing piece of our collective hearts, and I will miss him dearly. My heartfelt condolences to his family and to the members of our crazy class who loved him best. Don't worry Turk....that party you asked for WILL happen xoxoxox

"Turk" was my classmate, and one of my dearest friends. He was always smiling, telling a story, or recounting some event from back in our high school days. He had a very storied life, and through his generosity and easy going manner has touched so many people through the years. I'll never forget the good times we had in school, as we talked about those days whenever we were together. I had the great fortune of being able to sing with the band for a brief time, during the many rehearsals held in Turk's house. His passing certainly leaves a big void in my life, as it does I'm sure for so many others. Godspeed, Turk. I'm sure you'll be starting a band up there soon!

Turk and I worked together for years in the late 70's, he was always happy and upbeat and fun to be around, he was a flower in a field of weeds and will be missed.

I am grateful to have had the distinct pleasure to have known Turk. Each and every time I reflect on our school years together, it brings a smile to my face. I suspect it is the same for all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered.

I didn't see Turk that often since High School but always a friend. When our paths did cross we picked up right where we left off.
Turk with that smile and always something funny to say to make you laugh!

My deepest condolences to all of Bob's family on his recent passing. Turk, as he was affectionately known to so many, was a great classmate and friend to all. He was fun to be around and made everyone feel welcomed. Our class reunions won't be the same without him, his music and his genuine friendship. God bless and comfort you all at this time.
