Joshua Tippett Obituary
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Renee A. and Sandi J. Tippett, Scranton. Joshua was a graduate of West Scranton High School, class of 2009. He was currently employed by Price Construction as a carpenter. Prior to his employment at Price Construction, Joshua had a love for cooking and was employed by Ruby Tuesday's and Amadeo's.
Joshua was a loving and affectionate person with strong family values and a heart of gold. He was such a caring, kind and genuine person. You could always depend on Joshua to lend a helping hand and lift your spirits. His smile and laugh were infectious. He touched the hearts of everyone he met. Joshua loved to fish and spend time with family, friends and his sidekick, Layla; to know Joshua was truly a blessing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmothers, Dorothy Zielinski Tippett, Moosic; Marlene Fletcher Locker, Scranton; his girlfriend, Beth Price, Scranton; aunts and uncles, Janine and Brian Hewitt Sr. (Godparents), Pittston; Frank Jr. and Andrea Tippett, Moosic; Michelle and Frank Antoniacci, Moosic; Paul Locker Jr., Carbondale; Tammy Locker, Scranton; and Stephen Sr. and Tracey Locker, Scranton; his siblings, Dustin and Emily Dippre; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Dippre; grandfathers, Frank A. Tippett Sr. and Paul A. Locker Sr.; and aunt, Terri Locker.
Family and friends are invited to attend Joshua's funeral beginning on Monday at 9:45 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton, by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli. Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Chip Animal Farm, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612.
