Carrie Kolankoski Obituary
Carrie Kolankoski, 44, of Scranton, died Tuesday after complications from COVID-19. Her life partner and fiancé is Kevin George.
Born in Scranton, daughter of Patricia and Peter Kolankoski, Scranton, and Gary Czekalski, Hop Bottom, she was a graduate of Scranton High School, a member of Divine Mercy Parish and an animal lover, including her dogs, cats and rabbit. Carrie had an infectious smile and bubbly personality that lit up the room. She enjoyed the outdoors, walking and attending car shows and drag races. Her main love was spending time with family, especially with her children and fiancé. Taken too soon, she will be deeply missed.
Also surviving are two daughters, Emily Kolankoski-Clark and Sarah Kolankoski-Clark; stepdad, Peter Kolankoski; stepmom, Diane Czekalski; sister, Danielle Hewitt and husband, Dan, Hop Bottom; and a large and caring family, including several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Philip and Emma Ruthkosky; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Katherine Czekalski; aunts and uncles, Philip Ruthkosky Jr., Robert Ruthkosky, Gary and Diane Albright, and Barbara Rade.
A celebration of Carrie's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., Scranton.

Patricia and Pete, I'm so sorry for the loss of Carrie. I will forever cherish the memories and will miss her smile and laughter. I always enjoyed our daily texting and the times we've hung out. Blessings and prayers also for the girls and Kevin. Rest easy my beautiful angel! Gone from our presents but never from our hearts.

I opened up the newspaper this am and see your sweet face and that you passed away. I am heartbroken for your girls and your Mom. You kept in touch with me on messenger and had your Mom say hello to me when she was with you. I met you at your Moms house years ago when you were I guess a teenager. So cute and funny. Pat, Pete, Sarah and Emily, we are so very saddened to hear about Carrie. She was such a wonderful girl, smiling , laughing, happy. It was our pleasure to always see her on holidays in Camp Hill with the family. So glad for all those happy get together occasions.
