Michelle Kulchin Obituary
Michelle and Jacob are survived by husband and father, Daniel Kulchin; brothers, Noah and Ethan; Michelle’s mother, Mary Warren and brother, Matthew Warren; Michelle’s father, Mark Warren and wife Yara, and brother Mark, and sister Danielle; Jacob’s grandparents, Shelley and Martin Kulchin; and his uncles, Andrew and Matthew Kulchin.
Michelle graduated from the University of Florida. The family moved to Arcata four years ago and then to Redway. She loved nature and recognized beauty in the world and in people. She loved gardening, reading, and swimming. She was involved in the community by supporting active parenting groups.
Jacob loved playing with his brothers and friends. He attended High Hopes Children Center. He loved swimming.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2004, at Beginnings in Briceland at 4 p.m. A potluck dinner will follow.
Arrangements were through Pierce Mortuary Chapel, Eureka.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Michelle and Jacob be made to one of the following: The Trees Foundation, Friends of the Eel River, or B’nai Ha-Aretz Synagogue in Redway.
Contributions may also be sent to The Kulchin Family Memorial fund at Humboldt Bank.

Dear Danny & Warren Family:
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of Michelle and Jacob. I worked with Michelle at the Vet School for quite some time and I remember just like it was yesterday helping her & Jacob pack up the house in Gainesville to move to California. Michelle touched so many people in so many different ways. Michelle always motivated me to try and be a better person in life. I'll never forget the fond memories I shared with her and Jacob. May they both rest in peace and may god and the support of friends & family help you thru this difficult time.

My sweet, precious little Jacob;
You brought incredible joy to our lives. You helped with raising your little brothers, and you are the best big brother anyone could have. Like your mommy, your energy and spirit brought you many friends. Your insight & personality made you a natural leader, even at such a young age. In your big beautiful brown eyes, your mommy and I would always see a majestic soul. You will live on in the hearts of all of us.

So much thanks need to be said but no words seem adequate to express my families gratitude for your support. Just as I am unable to express how the loss of my daughter and grandson grieves me, so am I at a loss to tell you how much it means to me and my family that you were there with your thoughts and prayers.
Michelle was a wonderful daughter. What else would a father say. I am so proud of her. She turned away from the things in life that that wanted to pull her down and made everything and everyone she encountered positive. She was my very good friend and even my teacher. It seems fitting that she is accompanying her son in this journey as she did in his life.
There are no words for us to express our gratitude for your friendship, support and generosity in these sad times for our family. We hurt for the loss of our loved ones, but through you God has shown us that we are not alone. Please keep the daddy and the two babies in your prayers.

They often went to Shelter Cove, a beautiful, but mysterious lost coast, I thought. The way is daring, large trees reaching to the heavens. But the rewards are the beautiful sights and everlasting peace there. Still and inspiring at 8 o’clock that morning, as their Spirits went by me, I felt them across my face and in my heart. Later, the loud horns and confusion near home, paradise was back there behind me, in a memory to be kept forever.
