William Bolte Obituary

William H. Bolte Jr., age 60 of Batavia, formerly of Belfast, died unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at his home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1953 in Cincinnati, the son of the late William H. and Virginia Fischer Bolte.

Mr. Bolte owned and operated Bolte's Grocery in Belfast for many years. He was a 1971 graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended the University of Cincinnati.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly Johns Bolte, who he married March 7, 1987 in Hillsboro; one daughter, Audrey Bolte of New York; one sister, Mary Carol Stanforth of Hillsboro; two brothers, Jeffrey (Sherry) Bolte of South Carolina, and Michael (Wanda) Bolte of Georgia; his mother-in-law, Joyce Ledbetter of Cincinnati; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Father Mike Paraniuk will be the Celebrant. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding, 1342 U.S. 50, Milford, Ohio 45150 or to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
