George and I were friends in college in the mid '60s. I last saw him just over 30 years ago, but was thinking of him last night and Googled his name, only to see the sad news. I remember George, his parents and his brothers fondly. I'm pleased to enable this guest book to live on.

George would have hated the idea of an online guest book but would have agreed because he'd have cared more about the grief of those mourning him. My life was brighter with you in it, and profoundly darker now without.

"Tribute on the Passing of a Very Real Person"...anonymous
People are of two kinds
And he was the kind I'd like to be.
Some preach their virtures
And a few,
express their lives by what they do.
That sort was he.
No flowery phrase or
Glibly spoken words of praise
Won friends for him.
He wasn't shallow
But his course ran deep.
And it was pure, you know the kind.
Not many in life you find.
Whose deeds outrun their words so far.
That more than what they seem
They are.

Thank you George, for being a kind neighbor, friend and person. We are all richer for having been touched by your life and lessons. Blessing to all my beloved Sordonis. I will always have wonderful memories...

Andrea, Sara, Samantha, Nick and Abby, my deepest heartfelt condolences and sympathy for your terrible loss. I wish I had some words to convey that would be of some comfort but I know from experience that in situations like this, there are no such words. If there can be some measure of solace, rejoice in the fact that the world is a better place for your husband and father having been in it. I have and always will miss him tremendously and all of you will be in my prayers always.
