We had big thunderstorms today - it reminded me of the day after you died. The skies lit up and the thunder was so loud. I miss you as always. Twelve years has mellowed the pain but I love you and miss you just as much.

Buddy, not one day passes where I find my self thinking about all the great memories of our friendship. I still get the chills thinking about it all, and how I lost you so soon. I know your up there looking down on me, and keeping me on the straight and narrow! ;) Can you believe that I am married, have my own house, and expecting my first child? Crazy, huh? Who would have thought your ol' buddy Josh would have taken the big dive, ha ha ha. But do know Wood, that I think about you constantly, sometimes I laugh, but mostly I cry as its so hard for me to still come to terms with everything. Being away the last two years of your life was not how I wanted it to be, but you were always there waiting for me when I came home! Man, the hell we put our moms through! Right Mary Anne?? Haha. Well I just wanted to talk to you and let you and everyone know that I'm doing OK...I miss you so damn much, and I love you like the brother I never had! Mary Anne, Paul, and Moss, I miss you guys too, and the sooner my enlistment is up (Nov '07) the sooner I can come and be with all my friends and family for good! Love you all.

I remember a few years ago when I worked at Price Chopper with Woody. Every day he came in with a smile on his face. Even though I haven't seen him in a couple years I am still going to miss him. I had just recently found out about this, my prayers go out to his family. He will be missed dearly. He was such a wonderful person.

We will make a campfire in the twilight beneath the stars and watch the fireflies drift, and tell tall and taller tales of The Raccoon King and his troops that gather about our campsite. And all about us will be lightness and space and love. And a great Smiling Mirth.
Then In early light we will make our way down to the tidal pools. What surprises will be offered at the edge of the ocean!

Woody was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I know everybody that has ever been blessed to know him will miss him dearly as will I. My condolences go out to his family. It is a hard time but he is safe and in a better place now. May he rest in peace!
