I want to let you know, that the Livia I knew. She was a great friend and a friend sister to my aunt Carmela and because her parents and her husband Ronaldo Scalise they both came from my home town called Sorbo San Basile provincia of Catanzaro Calabria, we all were not only paisano but great friends I do remember their wedding of Livia and Romaldo, they were made for each, their love was so strong. I am so glad that I knew them both

Livia...How you would have loved tonight....people had to park blocks and blocks away....the flowers were beautiful and numerous....The line wrapped the room for the entire night...person after person there for you.... I say you would have been proud, but I know you could see it all...The line of police officers alone would have brought tears to your eyes....it was exactly as you would have wanted ....so honored to have been a part of it....

We were so saddened to hear of Liv's passing. I worked with Liv for years. Se was an amazing woman who loved her family and talked about them all the time. Liv made me and my family welcome in your home on more than one occasion and was always offering to help me whenever she could. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. I am so sorry for your loss. I cant remember EVER seeing Livia without a warm and welcoming smile on her face, even the times I saw her during her illness. I have so many fond memories from the St. James Bazaar to family parties or just hanging out at the house. She had so much love in her heart and her presence will be missed tremendously. May you all find comfort in your memories and in knowing how much Liv was loved by anyone who came into contact with her!
Rest Peacefully sweet Livia, you are finally free from your long and courageous battle. You will NEVER be forgotten and I know that you will continue to take care of your family from the clouds above.

Dear Aldo, Cathy, Mimmo, Anthony & family,
We never lose the ones we love, for even though they're gone, within the hearts of those who care, their memory lingers on. Our families united on Aspen circle and soon became one huge "Familia!" We so enjoyed the parties and all the great fun when we got together! Liv would constantly go around asking her guests if they had enough to eat….When it was a guarantee that you would leave her parties at least 10 lbs heavier! She thrived on seeing everyone enjoying themselves! Her beautiful smile and laughter warm the hearts of those around her!
May the warmth and comfort of lovely memories someday take the place of the sadness you all feel now!

From the minute I met Livia, she made me apart of her family. By becoming her friend, I gained an enomous extended family that I am so proud to be a part of. Liv's zest for life was incredible...She was first in line if you needed help ( or food ) and the last to leave your side in your time of need. Her love for her family and friends was the most important thing to her. She gave of herself constantly to anyone who needed it. These last years and especially these last 3 weeks, prove that you get what you give in life...Her family that never left her side ( not even for a minute ) and the countless friends who sat by her side, brought food, called daily to check on her and Romauldo and the kids, and kept her in their prayers, is a wonderful testament to her life...
No one could ask for a better friend...I will miss her forever and will forever be changed by her friendship.
