Mrs. Vicki and Boys
I wished we would have known about Harold and I am so sorry because we would have been there and I hope you realize that. I will try to come and see you and the boys one day when I am in town.
Harold will surely be missed and he was a man of God through out it all.
John and I are sad but we know that we will see him in heaven one sweet day and that is a fact.
Love

Dr. Vick was an inspiration to me as a JTS student and graduate('95).
Thanks to his vision and passion to mentor young ministers, I am now a Foursquare church planter in the inner city of Philadelphia.
Dr. Vick's ministry will always live on through the minstry of those he poured his life into.

Beloved Vicki, Jim, John and Jessee, I am so very sorry to hear that you are left here without Harold. He truly is a good person and we will all miss him too. I was in the first graduating class at JTS. I didn't have any money so I asked you guys if I could pay when I got my income tax return. Harold's goodness and mercy is also evident in all of you - a whole loving family. I send my most tender regards along with my daughter's Gina, Darcie, Becky and Debra. Your family has input into our lives a tremendous blessing. I know you will carry on Harold's love.

My husband Tommy and I used to lead Praise and Worship for Harold on the weekends when he would minister in Richmond Hill, GA, Savannah, Tybee Island, and in Daytona Beach, Florida. We have always loved and respected him as a "mighty man of God." We haven't seen him in about 10 years. The years have just flown by, and I'm so sorry that we did not make an effort to see him on this earth "just one last time." However, I can rejoice in knowing that one day we will all be together again. Our prayers go out to his entire family and his brothers and sisters in the Lord. He will be truly missed by us all. Love, Tommy and Martha Brown

Dear Vickie, Jim, John, & Jessee,
Harold was my dearest friend. He helped me through so much. There was nothing I couldn't share with him. I would never have survived the last 10 years without him. He was the most selfless, Christ like man I have ever known. No one will ever fill the void he left. Little more than a year ago, he held my sixth baby in his arms and dedicated him to the Lord. I count it the most awesome priveledge to have been his friend. Thank you so much for sharing him with me.
Love & prayers,
Audrey

Dear Vicki, Jim, John and Jesse
I do not know of another man who epitomized the love of Christ more than Harold Vick. In this respect he was an inspiration to me and I am proud to say he was at one point in my life my pastor. I was stunned and saddened to learn of his passing. But our loss is heaven's gain. I pray the comfort and strength of God's Spirit will be with you all during this time of bereavement.

Going back 30 years ago, Harold Vick was my pastor, friend and bowling team partner. Together he and I, (and other friends too), grilled many steaks, barbequed chicken, fried lots of fish, made brunswick stew once, and drove all night to somewhere in NC to catch blue fish. He even helped move furniture into our new home. That sort of friendship with one's pastor, and I am sure others who experienced similar relationships with Harold will agree, was truly unique. I recall that Harold could make friends with anyone and was never shy about talking about the Lord to anyone either. Harold touched a lot of people's lives in his life and ministry, and will be sorely missed. Although we had been out of touch due to distance for many years, I am glad that I was fortunate enough to have been one of those people. God bless you Vickie, Jim, John and Jesse, and may the Lord Jesus greatly comfort you in this time of loss.

Ms Vicki, Jim, John and Jesse and family
I am so sorry for your loss, Pappa Harold was one of the most wonderful men ever born. To have him in my life was one of the greatest gifts that I have ever been given. We know where he is, and while that comfort cannot make up for the fact that he is not here making us laugh, caring for us, and loving us even though we weren't always the best people we could be those memories will warm our hearts forever.
Love in Christ,

On September 9, 1977 Pastor Vick performed our marriage ceremony. As we celebrated our 26th anniversary Sept. 9, 2003, Pastor Vick went home to be with the Lord. I have precious memories of Pastor Vick and our ceremony. One memory that I didn't get to actually witness but I heard much about was Pastor Vick riding his motorcycle to our ceremony. He was cruising down I-10 on his bike with his black robe flapping in the breeze. I can only imagine what the people that actually saw that were thinking. I'm sure he put a few smiles on peoples faces that day 26 years ago. He was good at that.

Words cannot express of the great labor of love that this "Man and Friend of God" has given to countless ones. Thank you to his family for allowing him to give so much of himself. Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of his saints; He's work here is done; However, heaven has need of him to help get things in order before we get there! God bless each of you and may you continue to run with the vision that he has placed before you. My brother would not be saved or even a Pastor with a degree if it had not been for JTS. Thank you again.

For 30 years Harold was a background strength and friend to me and my family. In fact, it's probably appropriate to refer to him, and his family, as my family.
He was like a brother -- always there in times of trouble. He gave me away at my wedding to David. He gave Jeremy his first outfit when he was born. He always knew what to say and taught us how what to say in occasions such as this. This great man of strength and magnificent love would help us find the words for such a time as this: "I love you," present tense, forever.

I knew Dr. Harrold Vick, Sr. from Tad's restaurant. I go there to eat breakfast a couple of times a week with my parents, Frank and Rosemary Gary. I am sad to hear about his loss but I know he awoke in Heaven. He is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he is no longer suffering with any illnesses. From what I know of him and from what I have been told, he was a wonderful man.
