Eileen and the Reaves Family,
We watched John fight a hard battle and always with a "zest for life and an optimistic attitude".
John will be dearly missed and remembered for his kindness, spirit
of heart, and his gentlemanly way.
I am proud to have been able to call him a friend.
John, rest in peace knowing that you were loved in this life and are loved in your new resting place.

John meant so much to me. He was always there for me and helped me better myself in many ways. As well as others.I would have never thought that it was possible to work with someone who was such a pain and a joy at the same time! Only John could do that. He had the biggest heart and opened it up to give everyone a chance. He will NEVER be forgotten and the family will stay in our prayers. We love and miss you John.

Words are so inadequate during times like this. The many prayers that went up during Mr. Reaves' illness are now being extended to the loved ones left behind. He is with Jesus now and free from his pain and he will continue to watch over us all. I can see him now, smiling, wrenching his hands together, poised for his next endeavor. If there's any need that I can fill do not hesitate to let me know.

Jamie, Shawn, Melinda, John,Sr., Helen, Marilyn, Steve, Alan and Lori (as well as the rest of the Reaves family): please know that I send my deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to you. To my best friend, Lori..I am so sorry I can't be with you during this heart-breaking time. I would love to make you at least smile for a second, the way John, Jr. managed to do quite often. I still cannot believe this has happened, as I am sure you feel the same. John was a "one-of-a-kind" person...always full of fun, mischief and larger than life. He always had a good heart, even if things didn't turn out the way he wanted. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to know and enjoy him. Heaven is smiling a little more because he is entertaining them now. He is forever happy, as we are for knowing him. God Bless you all.

Eileen, Jamie, Shawn, and the Reaves family:
I am at a loss to express how very deeply Johnny touched me ,and have the chance to be a close friend of his for so many years. I enjoyed our times together, and his calls at all hours of the morning. Johnny was always a champion, and stood proud of his family and accomplishments. I shall truly miss this dear man, and someone I was fortunate enough to be able to call a special friend! Words cannot express the loss I feel, and certainly not the loss you have as his family. Just know that all of us that have know him 45 plus years, have lost a special person in our lives. My love and heartfelt condolences to all of you.

John, I know you will be truly missed...not just your family but

Eileen, Steve, Jamie, & Shawn,
My thoughts & prayers are with you during this heartbreaking time. John has been in my prayers for many months, especially while I've been overseas. He was one of the most kind, hardworking & perseverant guys I've ever met. I'm very proud to call him my friend, & I'll miss the overwhelming generosity & hospitality he showed me during those hunting weekends. I'll also miss the "business" lunches we had, & the tough time I always had fighting him for the check. He always saw the humor in life, even when business pressures became intense. I'm confident he's in heaven with our Lord & Savior, & I'll get to see him again one day. Please let me here from you, & may God bless & keep you.

John Reaves was one of the friendliest fellows anyone could meet. His big grin and firm handshake will be missed by many. He will be long remembered not only for his business acumen, but for his keen perception at the poker table. It was truly a pleasure for me to have known him and to have enjoyed our fun times together.

Jamie, Doreen, Shawn, Kim and the Reaves Family,
You all have my deepest empathy during this extremely difficult time. I wish I could offer some words of comfort to you all, but experience has taught me that is not possible. I can tell you that your wonderful memories will see you through, so hold them closely. I can also promise you that the Lord will carry you and give you, for lack of a better word peace, if you allow him to.
This is such an unbearable pain that people who haven't been there cannot imagine, know that if ever any of you need someone, I will be there for you. I cannot know your pain, we each feel that differently, but I know this awful emptiness all to well.
You are all in my prayers and thoughts.
With my deepest sympathy and all my love.
Michelle Ethridge
