HUGH BLISS Obituary
He was the husband of Mary Erway Bliss, who preceded him in death April 9, 2008. Hugh was born Feb. 27, 1919 in Wellsboro, the son of the late Lewis J. and Annie A. Stott Bliss.
He was a dairy farmer and a truck driver for Ralston Purina for 20 years, before he retired.
Surviving are a son, Dwight (Linda) Bliss of Rochester, Mich.; a daughter, Linda (John) Voorhies of Strongsville, Ohio; grand children, Leslie (Kevin) Miller, Nathan (Ashley) Voorhies, David (Jennifer) Paladino, Leah Paladino, Terry (Chuck) Lucente, Karen (Matthew) Gaurino; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn (Brenda) Bliss of Wellsboro; one sister, Rosemary Boyce of Wellsboro. Hugh was preceded in death by two sons, Ernest Dale Monks, Donald A. Bliss; two sisters, Ethel Davis and Sarah Mays.
Friends and family are invited to Hugh's Life Celebration on Nov. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral will be Sunday Nov. 25, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Tioga County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made in Hugh's name to Child Evangelism Fellowship of Tioga County, 16 Charleston St., Wellsboro, Pa. 16901. To share your fondest memories of Hugh, visit www.lifecelebration.com.
