John Church Obituary
John D.
John D. Church, age 57, passed away at home unexpectedly on Saturday, April 13, 2013. He was born in Toledo, OH to James and Martha (Toth) Church on October 24, 1955. John worked in the packaging department at General Mills from 1976-2002. He enjoyed camping and was an avid NASCAR fan.
John is survived by his sweetheart, Linda Rice; Linda's daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jerry Ward; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; longtime friend, Steve Kreis, and wonderful neighbor, Norb Rucki.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, April 18 from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. A Scripture Service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon Gerald Ignatowski presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to a charity of the donor's choice. Please view and share condolences at

I was sorry to hear that JC had passed away. I enjoyed our time working together. I still have great memories of him including many Tonk games.

I am sorry to read of John's passing. I worked with John at General Mills and spent many evenings sitting at the same picnic table outside on break. Never a dull moment there! My thoughts are with you, Linda.

I'm very sorry about the loss of John. I really enjoyed working with JC over the years at General Mills. He was always great to talk to and a fun curmedgeon. I was glad to actually see his salt water fish tanks. I might have a few video clips with him in it. I'm sorry that I won't be able to make it to the memorial. My condolences to all family and friends and fellow Millites.
