Kayla Marie
On Thursday, May 8, 2014, our beautiful Kayla Marie Meeker, passed away unexpectedly at her home at the age of 16. She was born January 6, 1998, in Toledo, OH. Heaven has gained another angel.
Kayla was a sophomore at Anthony Wayne High School. She was a member of the AWHS Softball team and an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She was a swimmer and swam with the Bowling Green Swim Club and the Fallen Timbers Swim Club. She loved spending many
summers with her family camping at Yogi Campground in Fremont, IN and worked there last summer. Music was a big part of Kayla's life.
Survivors include her parents, Doug and Julie (Sneider) Meeker; siblings, Geoff (Amanda) Wells, Rob (Aubrey) Wells, Marlena Meeker, Joe Meeker, Justin Meeker, Carly Meeker, Leandra Meeker and Christian Meeker; grandma, Helen Sneider; aunts and uncles, Doug (Elaine) Sneider, Gail (John) Henry, Melissa (Jim) Bergfeld, and Teri Stickley; nephews, Liam and Ayden Wells, and many
cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by
her grandparents, Robert
Sneider, William and
Barbara Meeker, and aunt, Pam Sneider Kelley.
Visitation for Kayla will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 2-8 p.m. Peinert - Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd., Waterville, OH. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Waterville, OH. Interment will follow at Wakeman Cemetery, Waterville, OH.

She was such a vibrant, sassy, girl with a great sense of humor. My deepest sympathy's to her family and friends. There's not been a day that's passed that I haven't thought of her and wished that we could go back in time and change it somehow.

I met Kayla at Yogi bear jellystone park last year she was so nice and had a beautiful smile. She will be missed. I am praying for the Meeker Family. RIP Kayla

I am a friend to the Anderson family. I learned about some of the wonderful times their family shared with her... their camping trips, their time at the lake, and just times where they hung out together. She is such a wonderful person and friend. My heart goes out to the Meeker family, to the Anderson family and to all other families Kayla has touched. Love is a powerful thing!! It touches more people than we know when we share it......to give a little of ourselves to people we care about and those we don't even know, impact others in ways that may never be even told to us in our lifetime. Kayla DID impact others around her, whether she knew it or not. May those who know her never forget her or the love she would want us all to share with those around us. Hugs to all of you, hugs your family and hugs to her friends. I wish I could be there to send these myself to you, but am thankful I can send this message instead.
