Richard V. Sr.

Richard V. Hagemann Sr., 92, of Toledo passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 10, 2012. He was a retired truck driver. He married Gladys I. Dean in 1940, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dolores Clark; a brother, Dale; grandsons, Robert Hagemann Jr. and Michael Preston, and a great-grandson, Ayden. Surviving are his children, Sharon (Chuck, deceased) Preston, Jackson, OH; Robert (Maria) Hagemann, Oregon, OH; Norman (Michelle) Hagemann, Toledo; Diane (Bill) Clark, Toledo; Charlotte (Wayne) Goucher, Toledo; Mary (Glen) Hamblin, Williamsburg, KY; Richard (Judy) Hagemann Jr. Bradner, OH; James Hagemann, Toledo; Larry (Sherry) Hagemann, Grand Rapids, OH, Gary (Kathy) Hagemann, Monclova. His life was blessed by his 10 children 44 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren. He was a WWII Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. He was fortunate enough to have participated in an Honor Flight trip to Washington, DC in September 2011. He enjoyed the fellowship of his friends through his memberships with the VFW Post 2510 in Toledo and the American Legion Post 338 in Bradner.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m., where Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Online condolences: blanchardstrabler.com

We all miss Dad, but we know how much pain he was in the last 2weeks. I'm so glad I was able to spend the nite at the hospital with little Charlotte. I know that was what he wanted, because he asked us to stay. Hopefully it was a comfort to him. We'll miss him but we will see him and Mom in the Paradise that Jehovah has promised us. Love you Dad

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, I have'nt seen Uncle Richard for a long time but I've often thought about him. I remember when I was young spending alot of time at his house it was like a second home. He's with Aunt Gladys now and I'm sure their having one heck of a reunion! Love Judy
