Patricia Patrick Obituary

Patricia Ann Patrick, 73, of Monroeville, formerly of McKeesport, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019. Born Feb. 15, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas, she was the daughter of Sophie (Gaboda) Martich, of Johnstown, and the late John Martich. She was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church in McKeesport and taught Sunday school there for over 40 years. Patricia was a medical transcriptionist. She began at Lee Hospital in Johnstown, followed by Mon-Yough Mental Health Services in McKeesport and Western Psychiatric Hospital in Oakland. She had worked for UPMC for over 35 years of her career. She received her master's degree from Duquesne University. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, the Rev. George R. Patrick; daughter, Annamarie (Moinul) Akhand, of Cheswick; sisters, Mary Jean Geis-Black, of Johnstown, and Nancy (Rodney) Berkey, of Davidsville; grandchildren, Ariane and Ian Akhand, of Cheswick; a niece, Alexis; and a nephew, Jason.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 412-672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, director. Panachida service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, in St. Michael's Orthodox Church, McKeesport. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 424 9th St., McKeesport, PA 15132. Condolences may be made at Gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory.com.
