William F. Hoffman Sr.

William F. Hoffman Sr., 86, of Jeannette, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in Select Specialty Care Hospital, Latrobe. He was born March 13, 1924, in Carbon, a son of the late Nicholas and Mary Hrobuck Hoffman. Prior to his retirement, Bill was an auto salesman for 43 years and retired from Kenny Ross Chevrolet in North Huntingdon. He was a World War II veteran having served with the Navy and a member of the Jeannette American Legion Post No. 344 of Jeannette. Bill's greatest joy in life were his grandchildren whom he cherished. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Rachael Snedden and Pearl Shafer. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Regina Kasuba Hoffman; two sons, William F. Hoffman Jr. and wife, Linda, and Timothy Hoffman and wife, Sandra, all of Jeannette; a daughter, Constance McCollum and husband, Robert, of Latrobe; grandchildren, Kristy Niezgoda and husband, Tom, Story Cowling and husband, Brian, William F. Hoffman III and wife, Jamie, Robert A. Hoffman and wife, Tifanie, Tiffany M. Hoffman and fiancee, Christian Sirnic, Amy E. Hoffman and Hillary H. Lapcevic and husband, Dan; three great-grandchildren; and a niece and a nephew. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert Free officiating. Entombment will follow with military honors accorded by the Jeannette Combined Veterans in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626-1607, or to a charity of one's choice.
