Charles S. "Chuck" Stringhill, 48, of North Belle Vernon, died Monday, March 15, 2010, at 9:37 a.m. in his home. Born Jan. 13, 1962, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Samuel Stringhill and his mother Eleanor (Judy) Molek Stringhill, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Stringhill was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, and was a retired painter from Holiday Park Apartments, Murrysville. He was a member of the Roosevelt Club of Greensburg, social member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, Fairhope Rod and Gun Club, Belle Vernon Moose, Belle Vernon Musical Society, Naomi Athletic Club, Belle Vernon Russian Club, Perry Township Sportsman's Club, and Russ' Tavern of Belle Vernon. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pamela Bokkean Stringhill, to whom he was married 20 years; one daughter, Maria Nicole Stringhill; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Melanie and Robert Patterson, Valerie and Greg Homanics, and Kimberly Stringhill, all of Belle Vernon; mother-in-law and stepfather, Helen and Greg Frye, of Tarrs; grandmother-in-law ,Helen Foreman, of Tarrs; brother-in-law, Brian Bokkean, of Greensburg; and sister-in-law, Debbie Wilt, of York. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724)929-6183. Prayer service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
