Flora "Flo" Stringhill, 66, of North Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 1:31 p.m. at Monongahela Valley Hospital, Monongahela. Born Sept. 26, 1947, in Uniontown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Genevieve Bianchi Stringhill. A resident of North Belle Vernon, Ms. Stringhill was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She was a hard worker all her life and would give as much as she was able to anyone that was in need. She worked at Stringhill's Restaurant from the day it opened until the day it closed and was known as "The Pizza Lady" throughout the Mon Valley. Flo enjoyed making people happy with her cooking. She is survived by her companion, Dave Lynn of North Belle Vernon; brother and sister-in-law, John and Patti Stringhill of North Belle Vernon; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Val Rozanc of Strabane; sister-in-law, Judy Stringhill of Belle Vernon; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph A. Stringhill. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Flora Stringhill Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home and the Women of the Moose will conduct services Friday evening at 6 p.m. Condolences accepted at the funeral home's website, http://www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
