Robert L. Reifschneider

Robert L. "Buck" Reifschneider, 85, of New Kensington, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, in Concordia at Ridgewood Place in Plum. He was born in New Kensington, son of the late William Reifschneider and Helen (Terwilliger) Breninghouse. Buck was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lower Burrell, and was a retired mechanic millwright for 33 years for Westinghouse. He proudly served his country as a Master Sargeant in the Army during the Korean War, and was a 32nd Degree Mason in Bethel Lodge No. 789 in Lower Burrell. His interests included hunting and fishing, and he was dedicated to his family and his grandchildren. Buck was the beloved husband of Brenda Reifschneider; dear father of Debra Paulice, of Lower Burrell, and Robert Jr. (Judi) Reifschneider, of Lower Burrell; loving grandfather of Jodi Paulice, of Lower Burrell, Jaclyn (Mark) Osiecki, of Sarver, Robert (Sarah) Reifschneider, of Lower Burrell, Nikki Reifschneider, of Florida, and Tyler (Cara) Reifschneider, of Apollo; great-grandfather of Avery, Adalyn and Evan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Cheryl and Mark.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Rex Wasser officiating. Burial, with full military honors by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell. Lower Burrell Bethel Lodge No. 789 members will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
