Allan Lee Erickson 2/5/47 2/4/17 Allan Erickson lost his battle with mesothelioma on Feb. 4, 2017 in Gig Harbor. He was born in Tacoma on Feb. 5, 1947 to Henry and Amanda Erickson. He grew up in Tacoma, but lived most of his life in Gig Harbor. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1965. After high school, he enlisted and served in the Navy for 2 years. He was a pipefitter at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, from where he retired after 34 years. Allan was pre-deceased by his parents, as well as his two brothers, Donald and Mark Erickson. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Erickson, and his step-son, Robert Lee. He is also survived by his younger brother, Earl Erickson. Allan was a very kind, sweet, funny, sometimes shy and special man. He is no longer suffering, and will always be missed by his family and friends.
