Joseph Roni Obituary

Joseph P. Roni
June 16, 1933 - December 16, 2020
Seattle, Washington - Joseph P. Roni devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on December 16. Born in Seattle to Italian immigrant parents, he learned the value of faith, family, hard work, honesty, and helping the less fortunate. The first of his family in American to attend college, he earned degrees in Chemical Engineering (Seattle University), Industrial Engineering (University of Washington), and a MBA (SUNY Buffalo). After a successful career in engineering and marketing that including leading a research lab that assisted with the Apollo Missions, he spent the last 20 years of his life helping the less fortunate through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He also worked with the Trail Blazers to help the State stock trout by backpack in remote alpine lakes. Loved by all those who met or knew him, he was model citizen and true apostle of his Catholic faith — the man, husband, father, grandfather all men aspire to be. After more than 87 years, his long-and dedicated life of sacrifice and service to others came to an end. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, five children, many grandchildren, one great grandchild, and his sisters and brother. A private graveside service will be held.
