Bertha Gummeringer

Bertha Gummeringer, 84, West Fargo, ND died on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, ND under the care of Hospice of the RRV. Bertha Krein was born on February 7, 1930 at Goodrich, ND to August and Johanna (Wetzel) Krein. She grew up and graduated from Goodrich High School in 1948. On September 12, 1948 Bertha married Leo Gummeringer in New Rockford, ND. She then worked at the local bakery as a clerk and cashier until they started their family. Leo passed away in 1993. In 2005, Bertha moved to West Fargo to be closer to family. She is survived by three sons, Jeff (Karen), West Fargo, ND, Randy (Cindy), West Fargo, ND, Clyde, Glendale, CA; one daughter, Pam (Gene Brend) Kraft, Rochert, MN; special friend, Arden Nygaard, Fargo; one brother, Reuben (Shirley) Krein, Mt Charlton, NV; one sister, Martha (Edward) LaPlante, Minneapolis, MN; 8 grandchildren, Shawn, Keith (Shelley), Cory Gummeringer, Chad (Tricia) and Tim (Faith) Nissen, Carrie (Nathan) Miller, Michelle and Tyler Kraft; 8 great grandchildren, Kazra, Autumn, Zach, Jonathon, Cole, Presteigh, Taggert and Meadow. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 11 siblings. Visitation: Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 4 to 6 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo. Funeral: Monday at 10 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior and reception to follow. Burial: Monday at 2:30 PM at the Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford.
