Scotch Plains – Dorothy Ann Gasperski died Sunday (July 10, 2011) at her home in Scotch Plains. Born in Rochester, NY, she lived in Rahway before moving to Scotch Plains 45 years ago. Mrs. Gasperski was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew the Apostle R.C. Church and was also active in several local humane societies. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, who died in 1991. She is survived by her daughters Marion Gasperski and Gay Gasperski (and her husband, Greg Bowen); her brother, Thomas Walton; her dog, Danny Boy; and her four loving cats. Funeral Mass will be at St. Bartholomew the Apostle R.C. Church, Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains, on Tuesday, July 19th at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. A repast will be held at Snuffy's following the committal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plainfield Area Humane Society, 75 Rock Ave., Plainfield, NJ 07063 or Center for Hope Hospice 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home in Fanwood
