Thank you, Mrs. Wanzek, for the gift of loving to read that you shared with us during 4th grade in Kiester. Listening to you read the Little House on the Prairie series (after lunch/recess, I think) is a wonderful memory to have.
I enjoyed visiting you down the hall from dad at Hidden Creek when you lived there.
To her family -- think of all the good she did for the kids she taught!

I had the honor of being a teacher with Elaine when I too taught at Kiester High School from 1970 - 1982. She was a JOY! Always positive and concerned as I was a younger teacher. I taught Family and Consumer Science, back then was called Home Economics. I married a Chuck Cory from Kiester and always saw Elaine for a while after I went on to teach in Blue Earth. We were close friends with the Kalis's. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. God Bless the family.

Our sympathy to your family. What wonderful childhood memories I have of living next door to your parents. Our parents remained life-long friends. And I cherished the times I would take your Mom to visit my Mom in Fairmont. It was so fun to hear them talk about 'old times'. We were blessed with their friendship. Peace be with you.
