Ellis L Caudill, Jr.

Ellis L. Caudill, Jr., age 82, of Noblesville, IN died peacefully Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his home. He was born June 20, 1931 at Portsmouth, Ohio to Ellis L. and Nora (Lykins) Caudill. He graduated from Springfield High School with the Class of 1949. He then served his country in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Corporal. He had worked in insurance sales for several years. He was also a professional decorator, specializing in wallpaper and vinyl installations. Lastly he had worked at Charles Schwab Company. He was also a student at Ohio State University for a time. Ellis was a member of the YMCA at Fishers, IN, the Toastmasters Club at Indianapolis, IN and was an avid reader. He was a dedicated family man and enjoyed interacting with and caring for his family. He married Joyce Lea (Dwigans) Caudill on June 15, 1996. She survives him. Also surviving are three sons: Mark (Cathy) Caudill of Austin, TX, Kevin Caudill of Austin, TX, and Curtis (Kelly) Caudill of Vancouver, WA, two daughters: Melanie (Larry) Fredette of Jasper, IN and Kimberly Daugherty of Jasper, IN, sisters: Betty Hall of Avon Lake, OH and Lenore Azok of Amherst, OH, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, step-sons: Richard Dotson of Sheridan, IN, Jeff Dotson of Arcadia, IN, and step-sisters: Melissa Green of Atlanta, IN and Carol Washington of Las Vegas, NV, three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Ron Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery at Noblesville, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, also at the Funeral Home.
